Students with disabilities

If you have a disability, long-term medical condition or specific learning difficulty (SpLD) that could impact your studies at LSTM, we’ll work with you to offer support, find solutions and make suitable adjustments. LSTM is committed to providing a fully inclusive learning environment – we don’t want you to be at a  disadvantage.

How to access our disability services

  • Declare your disability, long-term medical condition or specific learning difficulty as soon as possible – preferably on your application form.
  • The Student Experience Officer can then contact you early on in the process to discuss options. This give us time to prepare and arrange support before you start your course.
  • When you declare your disability, we will send you a Learner Support Questionnaire.
  • Complete this questionnaire to tell us about you, your circumstances, and how your disability affects your learning environment.
  • A specialist needs assessor will identify the support required to remove any barriers to your learning. We will work with you to create an Individual Learning Plan covering academic and personal support.
