Clinical Services
Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine delivers world-class healthcare and clinical services across the UK and globally, combining clinical expertise and research excellence to improve health outcomes worldwide.
LSTM and the Well Travelled Clinics provide specialist pre- and post-travel health services delivered by expert nurses, clinicians and the highly skilled team in our Clinical Diagnostic Parasitology Laboratory.
Our clinicians work across LSTM and the Tropical and Infectious Disease Unit (TIDU) at NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group. They offer advice and care through NHS clinics at LSTM, TIDU clinics and wards, and a weekday phone advisory service (Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm). Out-of-hours support is provided by the Infectious Diseases team at LUHFT.
Alongside their clinical work, our clinicians contribute to teaching and research, and play active roles in national and international bodies shaping tropical medicine policy and practice.
