Infection Innovation Consortium, iiCON

iiCON is a pioneering national partnership, led by LSTM, which brings together academia, industry, and the NHS to remove barriers to infection innovation, across eleven specialist platforms – from antimicrobial discovery and diagnostics validation to pharmacology and human challenge. Read more

The Pandemic Institute

LSTM is a founding partner in The Pandemic Institute – a partnership of academic, civic and health organisations with strong industry connections, dedicated to ensuring the world is better prepared for future pandemics. Building on a long history of research in infectious diseases and drug discovery, alongside a unique regional infrastructure of specialist facilities it provides a comprehensive response to emerging infections and pandemic threats.

Malawi Liverpool Wellcome Programme

The Malawi Liverpool Wellcome Programme is one of LSTM’s flagship partnerships, building on over 30 years of collaboration between LSTM, the University of Liverpool, Kamuzu University of Health Sciences in Malawi, and Wellcome. MLW has delivered groundbreaking research that has shaped global health policy and has a clear focus on strengthening Malawi-led, globally connected research while expanding world-class training for the next generation of African research leaders.
