FLIGHT

2024 – 2026

A scientist wearing a white lab coat and blue gloves works at a biosafety cabinet in a laboratory, handling samples with tools under bright, sterile lighting.

The challenge

Developing new products for public health and infectious diseases is complex. Too often, promising translational research does not make it through to real-world use.

Gaps in product development, regulatory navigation and market access can slow progress and stop new tools and treatments reaching public health systems.

About the project

FLIGHT developed an Innovation and Enterprise Framework to help commercialise and accelerate translational research, turning it into products and treatments that public health systems can use.

Over two years, the project built on our partnersโ€™ collective expertise in health innovation and the deployment pipeline. The focus was on quickly identifying opportunities, supporting IP creation, and securing licensing pathways with commercial partners.
