John O’Brien

Biography

John is a Chartered Accountant with over 40 years’ experience. During his time at KPMG he advised clients on growth strategies and numerous merger, acquisition and disposal transactions. Since retirement he has worked with entrepreneurs to develop their businesses and provide challenge and support in equal measure.

John’s involvement with LSTM began as LSTM became independent and commenced on a significant growth phase. Providing commercial and financial advice to the Board, John has been Honorary Treasurer since 2018.

In his leisure time John is a keen golfer, avid reader and a follower of the local football team based on the Royal Blue Mersey.

As Honorary Treasurer, John is Chair of the Finance and Investment Committee. He is also a member of the Investment Review Committee, Nominations and Governance Committee and the Remuneration Committee.
