Inaugural lectures and research seminars
Hear from LSTM researchers as they share the ideas shaping global health, in Liverpool and beyond.
Our inaugural lectures and research seminars bring our community together for free, accessible talks on the discoveries, debates and decisions driving global health forward.
Inaugural lectures are a long-standing tradition in higher education. They give newly appointed professors a chance to reflect on their work to date, and to share the questions that will guide what comes next.
Our research seminars offer the same spirit of discovery in a shorter format. They are designed to be lively, informative and open to anyone who wants to understand more about the biggest issues in global health.
Across the programme, you will hear from leading scientists and researchers working on everything from new gene technologies that could help reduce the spread of vector-borne disease, to progress towards better treatments for snakebite, stronger preparedness for future pandemics, and ways to build effective health systems in an increasingly unstable world.
All events are free to attend, open to all, and suitable for anyone with an interest in science or global health.
