Structure and governance
Our academic departments and professional services work together to improve health outcomes in disadvantaged populations globally, through partnerships in research and education.
Leadership
LSTM is led by our Vice-Chancellor and Senior Leadership Team. They shape our strategy, set priorities and guide our work across research, education and operations.
Their combined expertise spans academic, clinical and professional disciplines, ensuring every decision supports our vision for healthy lives across the world.
Academic structure
Our research, teaching and partnerships are delivered through four academic departments and our Faculty of Education. Together, they bring distinct expertise across tropical medicine and global health, working collaboratively to create impact at scale.
Governance
LSTM is committed to good governance and conduct its affairs in a responsible and transparent way with due regard to the Higher Education Code of Governance, the seven principles identified by the Nolan Committee on Standards in Public Life and the Office for Students public governance principles.
Governance is exercised through the Board of Trustees and its committees, which are accountable to the Members of LSTM, who in turn answer to the Charity Commission.
Professional Services
