Enterprise and Innovation Unit

Driving business development and maximising the commercial potential of research

A researcher in a white lab coat examines microscopic organisms displayed on a digital screen attached to a microscope. The screen shows a magnified green-tinted image of a single-celled organism against a textured background. The researcher, with long brown hair tied in a ponytail, touches the screen to interact with the image. Laboratory shelves with bottles and supplies are visible in the background, highlighting a modern scientific research environment.

The Enterprise and Innovation Unit supports the translation of discoveries into products, tools and technologies that reach those who need them most

We business development, support innovation, develop market access strategy, and maximise the commercial value of research outputs and intellectual property.

We support and facilitate the translation of research into implemented interventions, build collaborations with industry stakeholders, and work to reduce market access barriers so LSTM’s intellectual property can deliver impact.

We work in line with LSTM’s mission to improve health outcomes in disadvantaged populations, with a particular focus on the needs of low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), and alignment with local and regional health and economic priorities.
