Highlights from LSTM Alumni Weekend 2024 (7–8 June)
We welcomed alumni from across the world to our first-ever LSTM Alumni Weekend, held as part of our 125th anniversary celebrations. Over two days, graduates returned to Liverpool to reconnect with old friends, meet our staff and students, and rediscover the place that shaped their careers.
It was a weekend full of energy, insight and shared memories, a genuine celebration of the global LSTM community. From inspiring talks, informal catch-ups, the sense of pride and connection was clear throughout.
A year on, we’re still feeling the buzz. This highlight video captures some of the moments that made the 2024 LSTM Alumni Weekend so special.
The film opens with wide shots of the LSTM campus decorated for the Alumni Weekend and the School’s 125th anniversary. Alumni arrive at reception, greeted by staff and volunteers. Guests sign in, collect name badges and chat as they make their way inside.
The video moves through a series of warm, energetic moments: old friends reconnecting, handshakes and hugs, and lively conversations filling the room. The welcome session follows, showing a speaker addressing the audience as alumni listen, laugh and applaud.
Scenes from panel discussions and presentations highlight people engaging with the content, taking notes and joining Q&A sessions. Outdoor clips show alumni enjoying refreshments, catching up and posing for group photos.
The film closes with more group photos, waves to the camera, and a final shot of the LSTM building as the day winds down. On-screen text thanks attendees for being part of the weekend.
