Current research projects

LSTM is currently leading over 150 research projects across Africa, Asia and Latin America, tackling malaria, neglected tropical diseases, tuberculosis, climate health, and antimicrobial resistance. These projects span from laboratory innovation to community-based interventions, working in partnership with local health systems and communities to create lasting impact.

A female researcher wearing a white lab coat and blue protective gloves opens the door of a large laboratory incubator shaker, labelled New Brunswick Innova 44. She looks towards the camera while handling the equipment, which displays a digital screen showing temperature and RPM settings. The surrounding lab space is modern and well-lit, with benches, storage units, and laboratory equipment visible in the background.
